How to Measure Your Jet Ski Seat

Getting accurate measurements is the first step to a perfect-fitting jet ski seat cover. Here is how to measure correctly:
Tools You Need
Use a flexible measuring tape, paper and pen. A second pair of hands helps hold the tape flat on curved surfaces. Avoid rigid rulers that cannot follow seat contours.
Measuring Length and Width
Measure from the front edge of the seat to the back edge for length. For width, measure at the widest point across the seat. Take three measurements at different points and use the largest value.
Measuring Height and Bolsters
Measure the height from the base to the top of each section. If your seat has bolsters or raised sides, measure those separately. Note any curves or contours that affect fit.
Documenting the Shape
Sketch the seat shape and label each measurement. Photograph the seat from multiple angles. This documentation helps your upholsterer create an exact pattern for your custom cover.
